Hızlı giden geyiği tek seferde vurmak zordur…

Bilhassa görsellikte çok iyi bir payede değerlendirmek mümkün Deer Hunter�i. Ağırlıklı olarak geyiklerin ve diğer küçük hayvanlar olarak bahsettiğim kunduz, köstebek ve kuşların duruşları çok gerçekçi. Elbette ki doğal oluşumların bu kadar iyi olmasının beklendiği böylesi oyunlarda ağaçların, çimenlerin ve akarsuların güzelliği es geçilmemeli. Yapımcıların da bunun bilincinde davrandıklarını görmek güzel. Adımınızı attığınız her yerde oyun oynuyor olmanın enteresan baskısını hissetseniz bile geyikleri filan kendi hallerine bırakarak bir ağacın gölgesinde uyuma isteği hissine kapılmanız kuvvetle muhtemel. Güzel grafikler tam anlamıyla göz okşar cinsten. Yalnız bunun sadece doğal oluşumlar için işlenmiş olması dikkatlerden kaçmıyor. Özellikle atınıza yakından baktığınızda oyuncakmışçasına basit bir dolgu ile karşılaşmak hoş değil. Her ne kadar aynı şeyi hayvanların genelinde görmek mümkün değilse de dediğim gibi dolguları çok gerçekçi değil işte. Yalnız çizimleri de buna ters orantılı olacak şekilde hoş. Animasyonlarına da anca idare eder diye bir tanımlama getirmek, o hayvancıkların vurulduktan sonraki her seferinde yere düşüşlerini hakir görmemden öteye geçmeyecektir. Buna göre hayvanları koruma derneği benim aleyhime dava açabilir.

Her şeye rağmen bir de oyundaki aşırı monoton hava, Deer Hunter 2005�in beline kazmayı acımadan geçirmekten geri kalmıyor. Her ne kadar seslerin gayet dinlendirici olduğundan şimdi bahsediyor olsam da bu aşırı sessizlik insanı bir noktadan sonra sıkmaktan başka bir işe yaramıyor. Bunun tam aksi istikametinde de silahların sesleri karşıma çıkıyor ki, onların efektlerini de ortalamanın üzerinde değerlendirmeden geçmek de istemem. Yazıya ve şu ana kadar okuduklarınıza göre oyundan çok hoşlanmadığım fikrine kapılabilirsiniz. Bunda yerden göğe kadar haklısınız, üstelik ben de bunu yalanlayacak değilim. Fakat, oynadığınız oyunun en nihayetinde bir geyik avlama oyunu olduğunu da hesaba katarsanız; oyunun oynanabilirliğinin değil, sizin bu oyunu oynayabilirliğinizi dikkate almış olacaksınız. Bu daha önemli yanılmıyorsam.

Ben bu güzelliğe kıyamam, yüce Tanrı yaratmış bir kere…

Farklı oyunlar oynamanın iyi bir deneyim olduğu kanısındayım ben de; ama bu, Deer Hunter 2005�in çok tek düze bir oyun olduğunu değiştirmez. İlk başlarda evet benim gayet hoşuma gitmişti, hatta yabancı sitelerdeki reklamlarında sağlam bir yapımla karşılaşabileceğime dair fikirlerim pekişmişti oyunun öncesinde; fakat, görüyoruz ki bu sefer sıkıcılık ile eğlence arasındaki ince sınır aşılamamış. Bu benim şahsi kanaatim. Oyunda sıkılmanızı kuvvetle muhtemel görüyorum, yine de bu sözlerimi oyunun denemeye değer olduğu gerçeğini değiştirecek değil. Sırf grafikleri için denerseniz, dağlarda serin bir oksijeni ciğerlerinize doldurduğunuz hissini fazlasıyla verecek düzeyde kalitede bir yapım. Ama oynanabilirlik alt seviyelerde.
